That's an error because LED_BUILTIN is not defined for esp32.. Add a define #define LED_BUILTIN 25 you don't need to upload just verify.. if you get the same error, switch your board inside of ide to uno, pick any port.. and try to verify again.. this may tell us if it's something in the core …

I just compiled verify not upload, disabled WIndows Security Essentials and get the same error. I'll download Arduino IDE 1.8.14 and try again. I'm not sure what the last version that Windows 7 works with.

same error, just more empty lines.. see at the bottom it mentions verbose mode.. kick that on, gonna spit out a ton more, maybe there's something in there.. ~q

Couldn't hurt to check the Windows event viewer.. Look in the System and Application logs, see if anything sticks out.. Check control panel, programs and features, see what was last installed and when.. ~q
