I need to post a problem, but I can't figure out how to copy the error messages to the post. I have tried several things, with no success. How is it done ?
I can copy the code, but the error messages just seem to be immune to my efforts.
That's weird. On my Mac I just click and drag across them (or click and shift-click) to select them, then Cmd-C to copy and Cmd-V to paste.
What OS are you using that won't let you select text in the output window?
Windows Vista, when I drag the text and attempt to paste, nothing results, I have tried pasting into notepad also.
Do a screen dump and post the picture.
Dragging doesn't work, you need to copy and paste.
On the Redmond port you just cannot copy these messages. Function either not implemented or buggy.
I know because I have Arduino running on linux and win xp.
Don't worry, this behavior is just "normal".
Don't call it a bug, see it Just as a friendly incentive to migrate to linux.

- Highlight the text to be copied (left-click and drag across).
- Copy to your clipboard using the Ctrl+C key combination.
- Paste by moving your cursor to the desired location and then using the Ctrl+V key combination.

Just cranked up my Vista machine (mostly use a Mac), and using 1.0, I had no problem with copying the error messages.
Thanks to all. The Ctrl-C Ctrl-V combination works. For some reason using the mouse is not supported in my version of Windows Vista.

Ah, this is interesting. The last Redmond package I bought was Windows XP.
