I had purchased this to use with my Portenta H7, but when I connect it the LED opposite of the charging LED lights green for a moment and then turns off. Then nothing happens. I verified the port is receiving 4.2V since the battery is fully charged. The board and sketch itself is fine as it runs when I connect it to a computer via USB-C for power.
Lithium Ion Battery Pack - 3.7V 6600mAh
I was aiming for longer battery life. Do I need to go with a smaller mAh ?
Any suggestions please, this is holding up my project as it needs to be mobile.
Did you connect it as per the official instructions?
There's a note that says, "Usually, these batteries do not come with the right mating connector to fit the Portenta H7"
Followed those directions. Ordered the correct connector from DigiKey, soldered the pos and neg lines to the corresponding ones of the battery (on/off switch on the positive line) to connect the battery to the board. Nothing is connected to the thermal.
I ran continuity test on the switch and it appears fine, waiting for more JST PH female connectors to arrive tomorrow to try it without the switch anyways. I have one unused male BM03B-ACHSS-GAN-TF left.
What are the odds the polarity on the battery is wrong ?
