Create a water detector that sends a message over wifi

Basically, a capacitive sensor can be made food grade because there is no direct contact, it can be coated in a safe, protective material.

Does your GF know about the effects of heavy metal contamination? Especially in the vicinity of acid vapours that convert metals into volumes of soluble salts of those metals?

Thanks for your (and everyone else on this thread) help here! I was able to get the device to work successfully. I have a few side requests. Not sure if we can continue this conversation or if I should start a new thread but it's directly related:

The device works with the ESP32 and a XKC-Y25-NPN non contact water level detector connected through a breadboard.

Do you normally just 3D print housings? Or what steps do you normally take to protect your project once it's completed?
