Creating an Arduino System for Throttle Control

I would use a small servo connected directly o the throttle linkage. No need for the cable

Yes, I have a mechanism similar to as Jim described.

Good! You have listed a bunch of stuff. Have you written code to test ans exercise each one of those so you understand how they work and their limitations?

I haven’t really ordered the Arduino parts yet as I don’t know what I specifically need.

So far, I’ve got:

  • Servo motor
  • Arduino Uno (or Nano)
  • Jumper cables
  • Hall sensor/magnet
  • Potentiometer
  • Switch

You need to make measurements now that should have been made before getting a servo. Measure the forces required, the angles moved if angles are involved, distances moved it distances. Then make drawings that include those values and show how you will do all the mechanical linkages.
