Creating custom boot up screen for LCD 2004

Hi all,

First of all, I'm really new to Arduino and the following questions may sound stupid.
I have a LCD 2004 (20x4) smart controller from Geeetech using Ramps 1.4
The microcontroller is a RUMBA (Arduino Mega 2560)
The firmware that has been uploaded to the board is Marlin

Now I'm not satisfied with the boot up screen as it only shows two rows and then it displays the temp, X, Y & Z etc. Is there any way I can change what it displays when it boots up and then the display afterwards?
