[April 2016] I am not a programmer or any sort of IT professional BUT with a bit of online research and some playing around, I have produced a framework for the input of analogue data from pressure/temperature sensors and potentially input from rotating cables via an optical vehicle speed sensor.... the sky is the limit
My prototype uses a 2 x 20 LCD display as it was the first one I found that worked down 2 wires and was easy to program!
I started with an Arduino Micro and now have a Mega 2560 coding is fun! (I now remember the fun I had with VB and C++ before I moved into highway engineering with my PhD)
The next bit of the project is to connect up a temperature sender (sic) powered off of a voltage stabiliser (10v) fed into a step down to 3.3v or less and to code up the offset to result in a temperature readout. Ditto for a pressure sender (sic)
