Complete solutions feel like entries into a competition; they particularly annoy me when the they clearly speak at a level the inquirer can only hope to attain.
Sometimes these are offered with explanation, which could be beneficial, but they assume a kind of motivation on the part of the reader.
It strikes me that it can be intimidating.
There are quite a few ppl here who could write the solutions to a good fraction of the problems presented. In their sleep.
TBF, there are many members who come with one problem and ghost us, solution in hand or not, who knows?
I've benefited from personally using the very fewest languages features possible. In the 21st century, it comes at little expense.
On the old style forum there was the option of adding a small text to your avatar, And i had something like
"please don't be condescending." and that was for good reason.
Many users, also experienced ones, are usually trying to grasp what they don't quite understand.
The people that offer help usually have a better understanding or more knowledge and may be more experienced.
Sometimes the request comes from very young people, and already during my generation, kids were not raised in a very authoritarian way. (at least not me) and were respected by their parents and people from that generation.
That trend has continued, and has resulted in a sort of attitude that does not fully reflect the politeness that is usually expected when someone is asking for help.
I try to contain my urge to respond to those kinds of requests, and generally anything that is marked 'urgent' or has words in capitals, i don't even look at.
But if i do see something that is so poorly formatted or has so little respect for people that are trying to help, i just try and sit on my hands.
When someone wants help on a difficult project like self-balancing unicycle robot and they don’t know what an array is, letting them know that they’re nowhere near ready just to save them long hours of frustrating work that goes nowhere… that’s intimidation.
I used to be a bartender in a student bar at the university. The Dutch way of pouring a beer is "two fingers foam". I had a customer who insisted on "one finger foam" so I poured one for him; it had about 6 cm foam. When he complained, I took my finger and stuck it in his beer. It was indeed one finger
I'm guilty of not following fourm rules. It centered on a yes/no question I had and was immediately attacked for not sharing the code, stating the premise of the project and ,strangely, why ask that question? So, I swallowed pride, made apologies and begged not to be cast out in the near future! I went to different sites and got the answers from others and moved on. Sometimes people take themselves a little too serious. If this is where a person who is to learn only by the call of their masters, it will be for not.

@anon80209578's original post contained a link to a .ino they had produced by modifying a sketch they found on the forum. @camsysca rightly noted that many were reluctant to click a link and that it would be better to just post the file. Things went south from there.

Perhaps the question wasn’t specific enough for a simple yes/no.
The more I see, the more that seems to be the case.
Maybe take your own “put them in their place” “advice”. Nobody here controlling you but you, lashing out all the way, no wonder you have trouble getting help!
It can be incredibly frustrating and demoralizing when discussions devolve in a way that feels unproductive, toxic, or simply not what you come here for.And I just received a notice from Arduino that they were going to cancel my account because I hadn't been on here in so long I think I will take the hint this place is just as toxic as it's ever been
That must be just coincidence. The forum and the user accounts are the same, but as long as you don't receive any messages from the moderators of the forum there is no discussion on your presence here.
That can always happen, but discussions about it do have a tendency to into a direction that is not productive. A thread like this one nearly always ends in frustration, which is why i think starting one is not the way to go.
In a way the topic name is formulated as a question, when in fact it is just a complaint.
Then the discussion is just whether that complaint has merit and what has been said and what has been the attitude of the OP etc etc.. This is never productive and is just bickering made visual and attempting to involve more people.
If you don't like the answer, ignore it.

Everyone gets that notification if they haven't visited the forum for a while. There is a whole thread about it from when they started doing that. You are not special.
Your complaints read to me like a lack of maturity on your part.
