The alphanumeric display works correctly in the IDE Serial Monitor console, but it appears intermittently scrambled in the App Lab Serial Monitor console.
However, short strings such as “MPU” display properly in both the IDE and App Lab. This appears to be a bug in App Lab, which is currently under investigation and being fixed by the Arduino Dev Team.
