Educating Children from 3rd world

hi all I am shoaib from Azad Jammu & Kashmir a disputed state between India and Paksitan. because of our location and situation there is a lack of education in the state. Especially in the fields of programming robotics and AI. I am a teacher and looking forward to start educating young ones in these important fields. I was wondering if i can use Arduino as a basic starting point and what steps should one take to elevate the young students learning and how to teach them
any help will be much appreciated as this will the first and one of its kind project in this state
looking forward towards inputs of all respected members
thanks

Welcome to the forum
First of all, what is your own experience in arduino, electronics and programming? You can’t teach others without understanding it yourself

Hello shoaib88

Welcome to the best Arduino forum ever.

What knowledge base do the students have?

Without a solid foundation, it is impossible to transfer new knowledge.

Starting with Arduino is an excellent idea, especially for young learners, as it offers a hands-on approach to understanding the fundamentals of programming and electronics. To elevate the students' learning, I recommend introducing them to basic projects that integrate both hardware and software. Start with simple circuits and gradually move to more complex systems like robotics, allowing them to see the immediate impact of their code. As they become more comfortable, you can introduce concepts in AI and machine learning using accessible platforms like Scratch for AI or Python with machine learning libraries.

Additionally, hands-on workshops, community projects, and mentorship programs can help them stay engaged. Encourage project-based learning, where they can create their own solutions to real-world problems. Online resources, such as open-source tutorials and forums, can also provide additional support and inspiration as you develop this unique initiative.
