Electro-Stimulation - A start.

Hey there, long time no see ^^

I don't know if you saw the work Daito Manabe did using electro stimulation.

So, last week-end at a flea market, and got a Sport-Elec 4, one of those late night shopping "muscle maker", for 2 euros. It works, so I opened it ^^

The circuit is quite simple : 2x555, 3x2222A NPN transistors, 1 transformer, 2 trimmers and a few caps and resistors. The technical characteristics (printed on the user manual) are those :

  • Low Frequency unidirectional square pulse current
  • Power : 2x9V (6LR61)
  • 60V nominal tension (500 ohms charge)
  • Pulse frequency : 30Hz
  • Pulse width : 260 us

As I don't have any logic analyzer and / or oscilloscope, I retraced the circuit under Proteus to analyze it.

I'll continue later.

Hi Melka,

I don't understand your circuit around the input to the transformer. The way it is at the moment I don't think a current can flow through it.

Shouldn't the emitter of Q1 go to the top of the transformer?
