[image]Arduino input lag when building DIY gaming controller — how to reduce delay? Maybe the blue and orange wire got mixed up with the yellow and purple wires. I wonder if the forum has ever considered some folks are colour blind. Should we adopt some system that eliminates foul ups due to colour blindness?

There are many versions of color blindness.

True, so does that mean many solutions, or is there a single solution that will work? I have seen little stickies that wrap around a wire usually with just a number (unique per project) in bold print.

For 000–999, use three bands. Obtain 10 different colored heat-shrink tubes (e.g., 1/8" or 3/16", or ~3 mm I.D.). Cut 2–3 mm rings from each color. Place the rings on both ends of the wire, then shrink using hot air. Cover the rings with clear heat shrink to prevent movement and improve durability. Option 2 — Functional Co…

I tried these a while back, the 3 maybe even 5 smallest nib sizes are great. [IMG_4584] A head worn magnifier helps a lot. [image]

I think my finest is 0.3 so I will get some 0.1's. I use a magnifier all the time with my prescription glasses.

You can get those little "sticky things" from an electrical supplier, they are called wire markers, cable markers, or wire numbers, Brady is a name that comes to mind. Here is a link to show some: https://nl.rs-online.com/web/c/cables-wires/cable-management/cable-markers/

[image] sonofcy: adopt some system that eliminates foul ups due to colour blindness Many professions require the absence of natural colo(u)r blindness. But now there are these... Color blind glasses Color blind glasses or color correcting lenses are light filters, usually in the form of glasses or contact lenses, that attempt to alleviate color blindness, by bringing deficient color vision closer to normal color vision or to make certain color tasks easier to accomplish. Despite their popularity, academic literature is generally skeptical of the efficacy of color correcting lenses. Color blindness (color vision deficiency) is the decreased ability to see color or differences in color. It can... However; extracted from the web page... A 1978 study by the FAA looked at the "aeromedical" implications of the X-chrom lens, finding that the lenses increased scores in pseudoisochromatic plates without increasing performance in practical tests (e.g. aviation signal light gun test).[4] They subsequently banned the use of X-chrom lenses during tests. Today, most occupational screening for colorblindness have explicit bans on either the use of X-chrom lenses specifically or all color correcting lenses in general.
