Hi!,
my Arduino Uno R3 showing up as Unknown USB Device [Device Descriptor Failed] when I connect it to my connector it shows a green light and a orange light , the device doesn't get shown in the IDE, I have tried reinstalling the driver , software and there is no other usb devices connected but to no avail. If you have any idea what the issue is please tell.
i will attach a photo of back and front side if it helps.
No LEDS Are blinking btw. and the chip is MEGA16U2 1740 PH A960RA.
It probably means that the 16U2 has died. You can try to burn the firmware using Atmel Flip or a programmer.
Was this a new board? Or have you used it in the past? What was the last project that you were working on when it started failing?
it was used in the past, it was previously used by someone else so i don't know if it worked and could you give me the steps for burning the firmware and also thanks.
First hit with google: https://docs.arduino.cc/retired/hacking/software/DFUProgramming8U2. I never had to do it so can't guarantee if it complete.
