Error Flashing hex files ont an Arduino Uno R3

I'm following this guide for trying to flash a new firmware onto my Arduino Uno R3.
This is the terminal window I have, I'm running MacOS 13.

My Arduino is now no longer showing up in arduino IDE, I believe because I used the command line "sudo dfu-programmer atmega16u2 erase".

If there are any solutions to solving this issue or any way to revert the arduino back to the original firmware I'd be keen to hear them.
