error: 'wifi_station_get_reconnect_policy' was not declared in this scope

My issue is similar to the topic:Wifi Was not declared in this scope? - Programming Questions - Arduino Forum, except that I am using ESP8266WiFi.h but still receiving error error: 'wifi_station_get_reconnect_policy' was not declared in this scope.
Details are:
Arduino: 1.8.5 (Windows 8.1), Board: "NodeMCU 1.0 (ESP-12E Module), 80 MHz, 4M (1M SPIFFS), v2 Lower Memory, Disabled, None, All Flash Contents, 115200"

C:\Users\labpc 7\Documents\Arduino\libraries\ESP8266WiFi\src\ESP8266WiFiSTA.cpp: In member function 'bool ESP8266WiFiSTAClass::getAutoReconnect()':

C:\Users\labpc 7\Documents\Arduino\libraries\ESP8266WiFi\src\ESP8266WiFiSTA.cpp:364:46: error: 'wifi_station_get_reconnect_policy' was not declared in this scope

return wifi_station_get_reconnect_policy();

Basic ESP8266 MQTT example

This sketch demonstrates the capabilities of the pubsub library in combination
with the ESP8266 board/library.

It connects to an MQTT server then:

  • publishes "hello world" to the topic "outTopic" every two seconds
  • subscribes to the topic "inTopic", printing out any messages
    it receives. NB - it assumes the received payloads are strings not binary
  • If the first character of the topic "inTopic" is an 1, switch ON the ESP Led,
    else switch it off

It will reconnect to the server if the connection is lost using a blocking
reconnect function. See the 'mqtt_reconnect_nonblocking' example for how to
achieve the same result without blocking the main loop.

To install the ESP8266 board, (using Arduino 1.6.4+):

*/

#include <ESP8266WiFi.h>
#include <PubSubClient.h>

// Update these with values suitable for your network.

const char* ssid = "............";
const char* password = ".............";

    I am trying to use mqtt to retrieve data from dht11 using esp8266.
    Can anyone help me on this issue?

First thing, let's kill all the lawyers. No, wait, that's not the first thing. The first thing to do is resolve this problem. You should have exactly ONE copy of any library.
