There are certain registers that you can set to control the w5200. I have found none that allow you to enter promiscuous mode. That is required to be a packet sniffer. That is what you want, isn't it?
Even if I did know how, 16MHz would not keep up. You would be intercepting about 10% of the network packets, and not be able to evaluate them for anything.
