External Voltage Regulator into Arduino board

Hello,

Apologies for such a basic question - just want to make sure I've got this right.

I want to power my Arduino board from the same power supply that is running the digital part of my circuit. I have a 12V VReg running the analog stuff with a 5V VReg running off of that for the digital stuff (actually it's about 5.09V).

So - I run an out from the 5V VReg on my circuit into the 5V Pin on Arduino and from GND on my circuit to GND on the Arduino. Sound right?

I have checked the forums on this - just wanted to be sure.

Yes, remember not to connect up the power from the USB socket or you will have two sources of power on the 5V line, never good.

So - upload the sketch, unplug the USB cable, power up Arduino from my VReg via the Arduino 5V Pin - and then I'm good to go.
