Fastled example - RainbowStripeColors_p

Hi everyone

I've been playing around with this Fastled example and can't quite understand how one particular pattern is being called. Its the 2nd pattern that is called RainbowStripeColors_p - Is this a built in function of Fastled?

Here is an example and I have tried to isolate parts of the code to better understand what is happening -
The one I'm confused about is the 2nd pattern where there is a gap between each group of colours as they move along the led strip.

OK How is the 2nd pattern made?
I've tried to recreate it, my colours are not quite right but what I like about the othere code is how the leds continue to cycle around.
