Thanks for having a look at my post, I'm looking for some guidance on the feasibility of my next project.
So I went through the Arduino Starter kit with the different projects, and after that made a sunrise lamp with an Arduino Uno, RGB led strips and RTC module. It works fine. slightly proud
Still, to set my alarm (to still have a sound alarm as back-up) I use my phone, as I've done forever. So it would be nice, that if I set my alarm on my android phone when I'm at home, the sunsrise lamp detects that and will lighten up half an hour before my alarm goes off. When I'm abroad or so, I just continue to use my phone alarm, but the lights stay out.
I had a look at a arduino wifi shield, the arduino yun etc. and suddenly my head started to spin with all the options that I have no idea anymore.
I know I could build an alarm clock with the arduino where I can set the time etc, but that's not really what I want.
