Hello everyone! My bachelor's project is a fetal heart rate monitor. I spent a lot of time thinking about how to accomplish this, and after doing research, I found that in most cases, a stethoscope connected to a microphone was used.
I am using a sound sensor 1, an M-DIY-5532-V2 2 preamplifier module, a circuit that enhances low frequencies equipped with an LM368 amplifier, and a final amplifier module (TDA2030)3, which I then connect to a 4-ohm speaker.
My problem is that I want to use an Arduino Uno R4 WiFi to send warning messages and display the measured BPM on a screen, but I don’t know where to extract the acquired signal from? I should mention that I have performed audio tests, and the sounds are audible through the speaker.
Another issue is sending messages from the Arduino to a phone. Is it possible to do this via WhatsApp?
Really? I thought the pros all uses some sort doppler ultrasound device.
We had a microphone-based home unit when my wife was pregnant, and found it nearly impossible to separate a fetal heartbeat from the mom's heartbeat and other assorted bodily noises.
The reason I didn't use a Doppler sensor is that it's not really available for this purpose, only for distance measurements. I am working based on sound principles, meaning I am essentially creating a phonocardiogram. I initially conducted the tests only on myself, not on a pregnant woman.
Yes, spelling counts. Maybe this discussion has already been concluded, and this is the result, but doesn't the world, generally, disallow the broadcast of personal data without personal consent?
I would agree "if" the data was recorded locally, but not transmitted to a worldwide communication device, in the clear. You (the horse owner) could accept personal data being released with no worries, others, maybe not. I have a friend who chose not to immediately release her tragic news to anyone but me... not even her family. I, on the other hand, sent pictures to friends and family of tire tracks on my backside and over my shoulder from the emergency room with #notdeadyet. We are not all of the same will. Error on the side of the subject.
