I had the 2 versions confused.
The Java question is for the version 1.x.x which runs very slowly with Java 32bit.
I thought using the 64bit version which is installed would help performance
Running Windows 10.
The V 2.0.3 IDE version is not Java, but shows Arduino in task manager with 10 processes running under that.
