Found a place for cheap pcb manufacturing

clohe:
I always buying PCBs from one manufacturer.

http://www.pcbway.com/q

5 pcs 51mm*61mm pcbs just cost me $28. They suggest me the best way to panel and ship to save cost. And also $5 cut for the fist order.

The delivery is adorable.

Different specifications refer to different price. I always buying PCBs with HASL lead free. I checked the price just now. It's $23. Then cut $5. It is $18. You can try it by yourself: http://www.pcbway.com/q

51mm x 61mm = 5.1cm x 6.1cm
10 pieces 10cm x 10cm max at iteadstudio.com is $19.90 plus shipping as low as $6.78, total $26.78
No worries about panelizing, they make it fit.

I have been reading their website, and it really is very good pricing, even the delivery from US->UK is low

Thanks for the lead on this Bob !!

Just one important question, is the low price reflected in lead time ??

FYI Itead are not in the US, they are in the Far East

Turnaround of my orders has always been a week or less. Delivery to the UK via the cheapest option is anywhere from 1-3 weeks (I had an order arrive in six days earlier this month!)

Just got an order for a 2" x 0.5" board - only really wanted one, but ordered the 10 pack for $9.90. I actually got 21 boards!!

WOW, thats good value, delivery etc - I had a feeling they were in the far east anyway

Just had another stellar experience, from Elecrow this time (I wanted a white soldermask and they offer this for free)

Order submitted 23rd Dec
Order Shipped 29th Dec
Order delivered to UK on or before 2nd Jan!! (I'd been away, was there when I got back!)

12 snowflake shaped boards for the price of 10.

DorkbotPDX is a newer batch service managed and manufactured in the US:

http://dorkbotpdx.org/wiki/pcb_order

It's just $5 per square inch (for three 2-layer boards). Thus 2 sq inch would be just $10 total for all 3 boards. Silk screen & solder mask included. Shipping is free in the US.

And what is the shipping?

Thanks for the info....

I do use this viewer,,,,probably everyone knows that already...

I am using 7.3 eagle and I seem to get good views.....some are at 7.5 and they post problems with the CAM processor operator error?? I was asked if if would upgrade to 7.5 by my current board maker but I haven't decided....

I usually make boards for the MEGA2560 for my clients and they are usually less than 10 pcs, so I have some to play with...

You can see a few if you want here....

I have been using Eagle 7.5 (professional license) for quite a while now and have not noticed any CAM processor errors (using .CAM and .DRU files from iteadstudio).

PCBWAY company was what I hoped. My RF ANTENNA board printed very accurate and like the size and design. It was easy to set up order, get qoute, contact with them. The imported thing made me impressed my ordered delivered in 4 days which was owsome from China to USA.

BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a all engineers.

I am waiting on 50 boards from PCBway, really looking forward to seeing the quality considering how little they cost.. 50p per PCB

Most of the very cheap services (Seeed, ITead, etc) have a really attractive deal for 50x50mm boards ($10 for 10 boards), but an arduino-sized board is a bit bigger (79x54mm) and gets charged at the considerably higher 100x100mm board rate. Someone could grab a lot of the "arduino maker" market by offering a special price for the arduino-sized boards. (I'm not sure anyone WANTS to do that, but it's an interesting idea...)

Elecrow. 2 weeks from factory to my hand using the slow postage option. They must post in bulk to the UK or something, my packages are traceable and delivered by Royal mail 2 days before delivery.

Having said that I received a credit from PCBWay a while ago. I havent read great reviews about them so I'm waiting for something that its not critical to try them.

I'm reluctant to upgrade when V6 does all I need. How have you find it? Are the extra features of any use? Also where do you assemble your boards?

I had issues with V6 crashing on me and losing work on complex designs with lots of parts and many many traces (I complained and found out there are regular backups made so that you can recover without having to re-do too much, rename the .s#1 and .b#1 for example to .sch and .brd to recover).

MrsCrossRoads and I do most of our own assembly. If we have a large run of boards for a commercial customer, we farm that out, that gets tedious to assemble. Or large boards with tons of parts, gets hard to place a really large number of small SMD parts without screwing something up. Or boards with fine pitch parts and 0402, 0603 size components.
Boards with thru hole and 0805 parts are not bad. I try to keep designs under 10cm x 10cm to keep board costs down.

Have you tried anything complicated? Your examples are all too simple.

1Sheeld is something more complicated that I know of is produced by them: http://1sheeld.com/
