Hi!
A friend of mine has recently ask me I could repair a Hi Fi system ( the model mentioned above). Following his advice, I checked all the connections ( he said it broke after a car trip). Surprisingly all the cables are all right. The problems are that I can not sintonise the radio, even though I can move the capacitor in the screen always says 80 MHz. And the biggest problem is that ir doesnt create any soud: not the speakers or the MP3 port. Again I checked the connections and the voltage with the oscilloscope and, while the connections are not broken, there is not any voltage. The fact that I could not find any schematics online only makes the problem worse.
If photos are needed I will try and provide then when I arrive home.
Any help is appreciated!
Can't find service manual online - photos are good. Don't electrocute yourself if you power it with
the case open.
Its probably worth a careful look inside (unpowered) for loose internal cables/connectors or damage.
Thats exactly what I did. All connected. No apparent faulty or broken components. Not even inside the DVD or cassette where anything bad. I cant really figure out an issue
What should I do?
Hi,
This is an Arduino Forum, not really a how to fix stereo systems forum.
Have you checked the replacement cost on ebay?
Tom....
Its not really about replacing, I was trying to help a friend. But its true this is not a hi fi forum. Thanks for the suggestions anyway

Then you need someone experienced in troubleshooting similar equipment really - they would
be more likely to quickly determine the nature of the fault and whether its an easy fix. Service
manuals are useful for listing the test points and expected voltages, and showing the layout
of the main components in the signal paths. The rest is detective work and intuition (ie experience).
One tip is to re-seat all the connectors, in case they've been knocked or shifted.
Another is to remove all power for 5 minutes.
