GPS Tracker for project

I am a student of arduino and using Eclipse/Sloeber.

The class project that we have requires the use of the following:

Adafruit Ultimate GPS Breakout - 66 channel w/10 Hz updates [ADA746]

This is ~$40 on amazon.

Can someone suggest something that might be cheaper and have the smiliar performance?

I don't know how it compares, but I have used the Ublox NEO6M GPS modules and like the performance. They are certainly cheaper.
