GSM Module and Arduino SMD

I have a Arduino R3 SMD and a GSM SIM900...both Brand new and tried all tips on the internet but the arduino just does not turn on after all the connections any more suggestions or schematic diagrams teaching me how to use it

Unfortunately what I have is an gsm smd what was indicated in there is a trh....

Have you tried uploading a basic code in your SMD like to blink inbuilt led or not to test the SMD ?

The smd is working I tried what you said but unfortunately I think that the gsm is not properly connected to the arduino so it does not respond

Show a drawing of what you are trying. Show a picture of what you have. It may be something as small (and big) as a misplaced wire.

They need 2A. Make sure your power supply can do that, and grounds are shared.
