HC-08 pairing

Hi,
I have a problem with HC-08 module, I can't pair it with my smartphone.

After connecting Arduino, a LED on HC-08 is blinking. When I try to pair it, it starts to light constantly and my smartphone says it is "connecting" but after a while it says it can't connect and the LED on HC-08 starts blinking again.

The wiring must be fine, because I can send AT commands when connected this way.

Thanks for your help

Is your phone a BT-4 device?

Yes, the phone is Samsung Galaxy S6.

I downloaded Bluetooth Serial Controller app and the strange thing I noticed is when I'm scanning for devices in this app, the HC-08 won't appear. It appears only when I'm scanning in Bluetooth settings.

That might depend on the app, but it sounds like the phone is not paired with the HC-08.
Pairing is done in Bluetooth settings. Connection is made from the app, using a list of previously paired devices. Rather like Miss Bennett's dance card, you shouldn't have to scan in the app anyway, it's all arranged beforehand.

I have the same problem. I can connect my phone to the bluetooth device using the app "Serial Bluetooth terminal" and it works fine. But i want to use an app I developped using MIT App Inventor, which can't connect to a device unless it has been previously paired. The thing is I CAN'T pair my phone to the SH-HC-08 when I'm on the Bluetooth section of my phone's settings.

This makes no sense. You say you cannot pair the phone to HC-08, but it connects fine with the Bluetooth Terminal. You need to pair the phone before you can make a connection. At least Matek (might have) had the operations the right way round. I guess his problem was that he didn't succeed in pairing, he just thought he did, and I doubt your problem is the same.

I may have not expressed myself the correct way. Let me try again and please excuse me for my English. The phone and the bluetooth module are paired, but i can't connect from my Phone Settings neither from my MIT Inventor app. But I can connect using LightBlue or Serial Bluetooth terminal. I've already sent all the AT commands to configure the BT module, and I've checked them to make sure everything is ok. I can't understand why I'm able to connect (and send data) with some apps but i can't do it from Phone Settings or MIT Inventor App.

You can find the datasheet of the HC-08 module im using in the following url: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4urklB65vaCcEVyMm5haVVpMUk/view

I hope that now my problem is clear enough and hopefully someone can help me out, thanks in advance.

Your English is fine, the problem is deeper than that.
You can never connect from the phone settings, only scan and pair

If you can use a terminal, then you are clearly doing everything you need to do correctly - including the pairing. There is nothing wrong with Bluetooth, your wiring, or Arduino.

Other than that it is clearly faulty, no comment on MIT app, this is most probably the wrong forum for that.
