help me on ds18B20 -127*C error reading

i connected my ds18B20 sensor on arduino with ethernet shield

and used the below image as reference for circuit and arduino is powered by 9v 1amp dc adapter

and used following code

It shows the reading but sometime it shows -127*C randomly dont know what is the issue

Please help me on this

In your photo, it looks like the sensor is connected to pin 2?

In your photo, it looks like the sensor is connected to pin 2?

i changed to pin 7 and i connected in Parasite Mode

Two things to try:

  1. Add these two lines in setup() immediately after sensors.begin()
  if(!sensors.isParasitePowerMode())Serial.print("NOT ");
  Serial.println("parasite powered");

That will let you know whether the library has correctly detected parasite mode.

  1. With that additional code still in there, try wiring the sensor for non-parasite mode, first to see that the library detects it. But also leave it running in that mode for a while to see if you still get the random errors.

I think you've edited what you originally had for the bad temperature (-196?) and changed it to -127. -127 indicates that there is a flaky connection because the software reads all ones for the temperature.
