How many ADC Pins Portenta H7?

I am reposting this post by thejerseychemist because it was not answered.

While some people have mistakenly thought the STM32H747's 36 channels are all available, the docs do at any rate promise 8 ADCs, but I only see 7 pins.

My understanding from the pinout is that pins A0 to A6 (7 pins) can be used as ADC pins. In the specifications, it is stated that there are 3xADCs. Are there 7 pins that *can* act as ADCs, with only a maximum of three able to run at the same time?

Have a look at Portenta H7 full pinout.

You will find that there are 7 analogue inputs arranged around the edge of the PCB in the MKR format, but there are 8 analogue inputs connected to the 80 pin high density connector J2.

Unless you can obtain the mating part for the J2 connector, then you probably have to buy the Portenta Breakout in order to make connections to the A7 input.
