I have Epson printer ( TM-U220d ) with delta HMI ( DOP 103BQ ) . So h
ow to connect for RS232 with XON/XOFF or DTR/DTS handshaking.

Just connect RTS and CTS pins together. That is unless you actually want to write code to use them. Usually not bothered with.
XON-xOFF is strictly software.

Don't forget that if it's 'real' RS232 you will need something like a MAX232 to shift voltage levels.
