How to make fade in, out neopixel led with debounce switch?

Hello, I'm learning about arduiono first time.
I want to make Neopixel Led use push button to debounce.
When button once pressed and released, LED must changing and blinking(with fade-in 0.5sec, fade-out 0.5sec) R - G - B -W -Led off - repeat.

I made a code, but it works only blinking, not fading.... can any one help me...?

#include <Adafruit_NeoPixel.h>

#define LED 11

Adafruit_NeoPixel pixels = Adafruit_NeoPixel(1, LED, NEO_GRB + NEO_KHZ800);

const int SW = 7;

unsigned long fade_previous=0;
int fadeValue = 0;
int fadeDir = 1;
int Led = 11;
int ledMode = 0;

boolean previousSW = LOW;
boolean currentSW = LOW;
boolean ledOn = HIGH;

void setup() {
  pixels.begin();
  pixels.show();
  pinMode(SW, INPUT);

}

void loop() {
  currentSW = debounce(previousSW);

  if(previousSW == LOW && currentSW == HIGH)
  {
    ledMode++;
  }
  previousSW = currentSW;
  if(ledMode == 5) ledMode=0;

 if(ledMode == 1) // R
{
  pixels.setPixelColor(0, 50, 0, 0);
  pixels.show();
}
else if(ledMode == 2) //G
{
  pixels.setPixelColor(0, 0, 50, 0);
  pixels.show();
}
else if(ledMode == 3) //B
{
  pixels.setPixelColor(0, 0, 0, 50);
  pixels.show();
}
else if(ledMode == 4) //W
{
  pixels.setPixelColor(0, 50, 50, 50);
  pixels.show();
}
else // Off(mode 0)
{
  pixels.setPixelColor(0, 0, 0, 0);
  pixels.show();
}

unsigned long fade_current = millis();

    if(fade_current - fade_previous >= 100) {

    fade_previous = fade_current;

    if(fadeDir == 1){
      if(fadeValue <= 255){
        fadeValue +=25;
        if(fadeValue >255) {
          fadeValue = 255;
          fadeDir = 0;
        }
      }
    } else {
      if(fadeValue >= 0) {
        fadeValue -=25;
        if(fadeValue < 0) {
          fadeValue = 0;
          fadeDir = 1;
        }
      }
    }
analogWrite(11, fadeValue);
   }
}
  boolean debounce(boolean previous) {
  boolean current = digitalRead(SW);
  if (previous!=current) {
    delay(5);
    current = digitalRead(SW);
  }
  return current;
}

Oh,,, sorry.
Changing & blinking (with fading) color when button is once pressed and released. use neopixel, Do not use delay(), use millis(). Do not change debounce() function.

  1. R -> G ->B -> W -> LED OFF -> R -> ... repeat
  2. First button press & release makes the LED ON with RED
  3. Second button -------------------------- with Green
  4. Third button ----------------------with Blue
  5. Fading time for blinking : fade-in 0.5s, fade-out 0.5s

This is the condition.

Okay, I'm sorry..

As I had replied before your other topic was deleted.. you cannot control the brightness of "Neopixels" by using PWM, instead you must constantly update the color by doing something like this

float multiplier = brightness / 255.0f;
pixels.setPixelColor( 0, r * multiplier, g * multiplier, b * multiplier );
pixels.show();

In Adafruit_Neopixel library there is a method setBrightness but it's global and doesn't work as most people would expect so I don't recommend to use it

One can indeed control brightness .

R, G, B

255, 0, 0 is red

122,0,0 is red but dimmer

2,0,0 is red but very dim.

This code illuminates the LEDs based upon input levels and sets LED brightness to match input levels.
