I have been using Arduino Mega 2560 for a month now, but not until today that my laptop can't find the serial port for my devices, however, when connecting to UNO, everything is normal. I've tried some of the solutions such as re-installing CH340 and DFU. What could be the problem, and is it died already ? Thank you in advance.
If the Uno is found when plugged in and the Mega used to be found but is no longer found, then the Mega is damaged.
And I have no idea why your Mega no longer works.
So it is the 16U2 damage rather than the Atmega2560, cause I'm still able to use the Mega when connected to the devices with the available code, but not to get code from computer.
I'd rather not guess.
Hi,
I didn't understand well.
you say:
"I've tried some of the solutions such as re-installing CH340 and DFU."
but then says:
"So it is the 16U2 damage rather than the Atmega2560,"
Which Mega USB interface chip?
If it's 16U2, it may have lost the firmware...
The methods I used were available on the Internet so i followed desperately... Are there any ways to reload or reboot the firmware. Thanks
Hi,
just type "arduino mega 16u2 firmware" on Google,
and....
