The logic board of the washing machine will not be running at 110v. The wire going to the pump will be switched on/off by some other part of the logic circuit (probably via a transistor or relay)... you should look further at the circuit to find the logic component, and use that rather than the power circuit that is powering the pump. Do you have the model of the washing machine? or a view of the circuit diagram?
