Whenever I print to the Serial Monitor, all "9"s are replaced by "-"s
I get normal output with IDE 1.8.19 and with a serial terminal program like tio or screen.
My host computer is an M1 Mac Mini running MacOS Ventura 13.4.1.
Any ideas why and how to fix this?
I think, it was solved here about month, 2 ago. Some bug in this version.

I can't find the topic. I didn't follow it thoroughly. Try different version or you can use external terminal emulator like PuTTY.
I tried the latest nightly build of 2.1.2 -- no change. If I recall correctly, I have been seeing this with IDE2 since it was introduced.
It does work fine with a terminal emulator.

Thanks for the response. As I noted, it all works fine with an external emulator and the 1.8.19 IDE. I was just curious if anyone else had run into this with the IDE2 and knew what was causing it.
