ILI9488 TFT touch screen with Arduino Uno R4 WiFi not responding

Hello Arduino Friends  ,

I am a newbee in Arduino creative world. But I have very good experience with C/C++ programming.
To have a hand on experience I started understanding test program for ILI9488 TFT with Arduino Uno R4 WiFi. Since ILI9488 is built based on ILI9341, I have included Adafruit_ILI9341 driver.
I have pasted the code below, the code compiles without error. Unfortunately there is no responce on the TFT screen. I am not getting what exactly is the problem.

Can anyone help?

The ILI9488 is not the same as ILI9341.

Some of this is described in an earlier post:
Changes in Adafruit_ILI9341 library for ILI9488 - Using Arduino / Displays - Arduino Forum

In particular, The ILI9341 in SPI mode, can output in RGB565 mode (16 bit color), which
the Adafruit library does.

Whereas the ILI9488 does not allow this color mode using SPI (does in parallel mode). Your choices are either 666 mode, or 888 mode, both of which require you to send 3 bytes out over SPI per pixel.

For Teensy 3.x/4.x boards, I have my own library for this:
KurtE/ILI9488_t3: WIP of new ILI9488 library

I know there are others out there as well.

There may also be instructions out there for allowing you to use the Adafruit library with modifications. Where the APIs still use RGB565, but just before they output the data over spi, they convert to 666 mode. (For the most part my library does something like this)

Thank you @KurtE for quick reply. I will look into it this weekend.

Uhh that's a 3v logic tft the ili9488 did you use logic level converters? If not it's probably fried and ili9488s are know to fry easily for no reason.

Could you please send code in code tags
