IMU Data Filter

Hi everyone,

I want to process 2 outputs. An accelerometer output and a gyroscope output. The accelerometer is an ADXL345 and I already have enabled the offset registers, and a ITG3200 gyro, in which I also enabled the low pass filter. But what I can say is that the outputs are more or less raw data.

The question is: which is the best sensor filter that excels both in efficiency and performance?
And if there's an option, argue it.

PS:I need this IMU for some intense working(it's going to give thousands of samples per second). So it needs to be precise throughout the time.
