At a recent steampunk convention, I saw a person with an LED ring built into the handle of a walking stick. It changed colors as he turned it, but that is another issue. My main question, is I am thinking of using a large plastic gem/jewel as the base for the handle where the LED ring would sit. I am having a difficult time visualizing how to construct it. I don't think I require a full tutorial, however a nudge in the right direction is desperately needed. Thank you in advance.
