Interfacing with Phidget USB accelerometer

I have this phidget usb accelerometer PhidgetAccelerometer 3-Axis - 1059_0 at Phidgets

How feasible would it be to be to interface with the arduino as compared with buying a new i2c sensor such as the MPU6050? ayground.arduino.cc/Main/MPU-6050#sketch

Are the any other options for 16bit accelerometers?

Not really. It has a USB slave interface so it must go to a USB master like a pc.
There is no clue what the protocol is like (ie which charaters it send/receives)
No circuit schamtics so it can be hacked...
