Hi all. My question is not really about Arduino:
The power cable from the system unit does not connect to the mother.
Is it possible to use a female-male cable from Arduino as an adapter?
Photos are not mine, but the problem is the same.
Probably if the connections match. The cable you have is NOT a power cable.
Fpanel cable
You are asking if a power cable (not shown) which does not connect to a computer system (not shown) can be replaced by another cable (not shown)? (unrelated cable and connector shown).
No.
You must show pictures and wiring diagrams of the devices you mention for an accurate answer.
For the front panel connections you can use any conductors you like, but you have to verify that the pinout is correct. The silk screen on the motherboard usually tells what goes where, or alternatively you'll have to find a pinout diagram in the documentation of the motherboard. Back in the day (1990s) the front panel connections was basically a bunch of loose female DuPont ("Arduino") wires you had to stick in the right places one by one. So what you're about to do is actually the way we did it back then!
If you mean the jumper wires that most people for breadboards, then the answer is YES
