Is there a way to charge a battery with solar panels?

I have to make a project wich is going to be a clock working with solar energy but I don't know if there's a way to charge a battery with panels of 5v

Google 'solar battery charging'

Use a lipo charger with a 5 volt input to charge the 3.7 volt battery. Then step the battery voltage down to 3.3 volts and run your clock off that. I really like the Adafruit Pro Trinket 3V and the LiPo backpack for this application. I have a clock that does just that at the shop. If the OP responds, I'll post the details tomorrow night.

Isn't it bad that we have to have "If the OP responds..." before we put any effort into the problem.

Unfortunately, with the one post wonders, this is totally justified.

I'm assuming that your clock runs on AA battery. Simply use NiMH batteries and a solar panel + diode like shown in this video.

I hear you wp. I said that for 2 reasons, 1 - to keep me from getting hyped about no response, and 2 - to entice the OP to post.
