Is this a (genuine) UNO R3?

I have tried to find out on the web for a while.

I compared numerous features and I think it is but I can’t find any images of R3 that match.

Example: Mine says “UNO” in a rectangle a in reverse color - compared to “ARDUINO”.

It is not labeled “R3”.

Just out of curiosity, why does it matter?

Comparing with a reliable web supplier, it looks genuine.

I read somewhere that the presence of this component with the Arduino logo on it is a good sign of authenticity:

So whether your problem is, I suspect it is not a result of an inferior clone. Most clones are pretty good.

Thanks Bob, that's exactly the kind of response I hoped for!
Most of the signs pointed to its being genuine.
I even found silkscreen versions that matched but not from a site like RS.

Hi van_der_decken,

I want to know the version because one can waste a lot of time working with a board that's not the board one thinks it is.

I want to know it's genuine because counterfeits are unethical and clones don't support the folks that provide, for example, this site.

Also: curiosity.

I noticed that and a number of other signs that it was R3 and genuine.

Here's a page that lists numerous signs.

But thanks for pointing it out.

The silkscreen seems to match the SMD version here:

Except that it clearly isn't an SMD version!

Yes!
I also noticed my board (not SMD) had silkscreen that looked like that in some SMD pictures.
But thanks for pointing out.
