Issue with sorting new posts by number of replies

Hi there,

When I've time to provide help, I usually click on the "New" button in the forum to see what I've not seen yet

the list you get is sorted probably by "Activity" and I want to identify posts that did not get any reply yet. So I want to sort by Replies.

The first time I click on Replies

I get the list sorted in descending orders by the number of replies and the caret points up.

Posts which attracts lots of replies are probably in good hands so I want to see the other end of the list.

clicking again on the Replies button used to do that but now when I click again, the caret points down so the list should be sorted the other way around but no luck... the list does not get sorted or re-displayed.

I've to click a third time on the Replies button to actually get the list sorted with the lowest number of replies first but notice the caret is now pointing up again...

Can this be sorted out so that I save one click when trying to provide help

that's on a Mac with Safari 17.0

I see the same behaviour but had not noticed it because I always open the "New" list from a shortcut containing https://forum.arduino.cc/new?ascending=true&order=posts

Oooo, I usually prefer the same view

..and where is such link located?

In the bookmarks bar of Chrome along with a couple of other useful shortcuts

I guess that’s indeed an option

Thanks @J-M-L. I verified this problem is universal to the Discourse forum framework rather than specific to the Arduino Forum instance, and escalated it to the Discourse developers via the appropriate communication channel:

Thanks - it used to work fine so it’s probably something that was changed recently

The Discourse developers have now fixed the bug:

Arduino Forum has been updated to the version of Discourse with that fix. So the fault should no longer occur when using Arduino Forum.

Thanks for your report @J-M-L.

Thanks for raising this to the team.

I’m in my iPhone and the sorting by answers is not displayed (too bad) so I can’t test right away but will have a look later

confirming it's working fine!

thx
