JSN-SR04T Extend Wire

Hello Everyone,

I have the JSN-SR04T and have extended the wires successfully to both the trigger and the echo around 20 feet with just solid wire. How can I extend it even further while retaining the signal? I have tried 40 feet on the trigger and it works, but the echo cannot be long otherwise it will return 0.88 or 0.97 feet repeatedly.

I am going to use shielded cable next, but I also hear about capacitors to ground, etc. Just trying to make the system work around 35 feet. I am using an esp32 directly to the sensor.

You could try Schmit trigger circuit at the receive end to reform the signal.

Currently facing the same problem. i put a 100 nano farad capacitor between vcc and ground and that didn't seem to fix the problem. When i put a 47nanofarad capacitor between either of the signal pin and ground, it only gave me a fixed value of 20 cm distance for any distance. Guess i'll just have to cut my wire short up to 6meters like u mentioned.
