Hello,
I would like to build a device to trigger a 12 volt light source pin very short intervals from something like 0.3 to 1.5 or more seconds. Ideally it would have a small display to show the time and a push button to trigger the lamp. Do read made boards exist that will do this in conjunction with arduino How complicated would it be to build?

I didn't read the instructions fully but with a uC and display with 18 possible switching arrangements, I'd say it would cover your needs.
