looking for diagram and some code for 2 stepper motors and a joystick

Hi i have been looking for a code and diagram on how to wire up 2bbbyj-48 motors to a Joystick i had removed from a radio controller. the Joystick has 2 pots each has 3 wires red black and white.

The stepper motors had the standard 4 wire drivers for that steppers.

All i want it to do is move like a joystick but the more it goes left or right or up and down it will pick up speed. not a lot i want to use this to control a microscope stage.

Any ideas or links?

Thanks!@@

Have you googled arduino joystick control stepper

This may help.

Can you please tell us your electronics, programming, Arduino, hardware experience?

Tom...

Yep i have searched for 2 days now on youtube and google.

I found some things but with all i find is the mini thumb joysticks with 5 wires. not like my joystick which has 2 pots with 3 wires each.

or using nema motors with different drivers like easydriver or the kinds used in 3d printers, or a demo with no info, or just using one motor.

I am new to arduino and have completed wiring a few basic sketches

I have a uno and and a mega and most electronics i think i would need.

I would have thought this sketch would have been more popular.

Thanks

Tommy

Hi,
The thummy joystick is the same as your joystick just that they have simplified the wiring.

This diagram shows the differences.
Do you have a DMM?

A multimeter? Yes I do...
