Unlikely that it would cause problems with the rest of the car as the OBD2 port is only designed as a diagnostic interface. Whether the car logs these errors and displays something on the dash depends entirely on how the software has been programed and only the manufacturer has that information.

I now measured the CAN bus network with the multimeter and saw that I was connecting the wrong pins on the obd2. At night, as I was tired, I memorized the sequence of the obd2 pins wrong and when I woke up I went straight to the wrong position that I memorized. In fact, my obd2 connector is upside down, I was connecting wires 1 and 6 instead of connecting 3 and 8. I was now able to connect the mcp without error.
