Motor Shield Rev3 Help

I am trying to use the Arduino Motor Shield Rev3 with my setup and I am running into an issue where the board makes a noise and all 4 motor lights (+ and -) turn on when I connect and try to run the motors. Without the motors connected the board works as programmed and pushes out the full 12 volts. I THINK the battery and motor setup should work together.

My setup is:
Arduino Mega 2560
Arduino Motor Shield Rev3
Tenergy NiMH 12V 2000mAh
Battery Pack 2 GM25-370CA motors

The only thing I could find was on the Arduino website that if the motors need 12v they recommend separating the power lines by cutting "Vin Connect", but I want to make that could be causing my problem before I do something like that.

Has anyone experienced something like this or has any suggestion? Any help is appreciated.

The best You can do is post the schematics and a real link to the datasheet of the batteries as well as to the motors.
It looks like a power problem to me.

I uploaded the only data sheet I could find for the motors, I believe the ones I have are the TRK-370CA-12560 but I am trying to double check and makes sure it's not the 15360.

I have been trying to find a datasheet for the batter, but for some reason I have been struggling. I do have the basic information like:
Volts: 12V
Discharge Current: 2A
Type: NiMH
Capacity: 2000 MAh
Watt-hours: 24Wh

I don't really have a schematic at the moment because it is just the Mega with the motor shield on top, then the battery is in Vin and ground terminals with the motors screwed in right next to it in the motor terminals.

Not sure if that helps clear some things up or if I'm missing anything.
