Nano rp2040 speech recognition microphone

Hi, I wanted to use the microphone on my arduino nano rp2040 for speech recognition, and maybe then convert the audio into text. Do you know if the 2040's microphone is capable of doing this and do you know any tutorials on this?

The microphone just converts sound to electrical signals - it doesn't do any recognition or processing!

Wait, you would have me believe that this microphone cannot take pictures or make coffee?

Can the electrical signal output from the microphone be used for speech recognition or is the quality too low?

Take a look at some speech recognition libraries - see what their requirements are...

Have you tried googling "speech recognition Arduino" ?

Yes, if amplified, digitized and the digital data fed to a speech recognition processor.

It's a digital microphone!

My answer was for a generic microphone. The short answer in this case is "yes".
