Hi, I am looking for a simple sketch to just play a single sound file upon power up. Can anyone help please? Thanks, Mark.
Welcome to the forum

Okey. What hardware do You intend to use? Code without hardware will not work.
I have simple Arduino boards and know nothing about making them work. I had an Arduino engineer try and write a complicated program for us, but he couldn't get it to work. Essentially all I need is a simple program to run a single sound file on each arduino (I have up to 16 Arduino that may be needed. for each sound file to be played, I have an Arduino and a Micro SD card player. These then play through a mixing unit.
There is no simple program coming for free.
That looks like useful gear.
How is the setup built?
Please post schematics, not a toy Fritzing picture".
?
Does the output of the Micro SD card player comply with that mixer?
Not sure, but the mixer then runs through a mini amp, so shouldn't be a problem.
You might have but that tells us very little. What is the name of this simple Arduino board.
The Arduino typically has a very small amount of memory so your sound file can only be at maximum about 2 seconds long. For more or longer sounds you need an SD card attached to your Arduino to store them.
Here is one I did earlier
I would suggest a DFPlayerMini or yx5300 module. These will make things much simpler and play with better quality.
Yes, I have these DFPlayers already, so good suggestion. Ideally I could do with someone from the North Kent area in the UK to come and just set it all up for me.
If you want, I can move your topic to the "gigs & collaborations" section. Be prepared to offer money.
Hi Paul, that would be good thanks. I just need someone to help with the project and if I could hand it over to someone to come and fit, it would be great, subject to price. Cheers.
Done! Good luck.
To define your project better you should say which Arduino boards you have, the specific MP3 shield, details and or pictures of your mixer and mini amp would be great too.
