I would like to drive a Nema23 motor at various speeds with a maximum speed of 1500 rpm.
The step precision is not relevant. Th motor will only be used to drive something without any precision. Reason for choosing a stepper motor is the ability to turn at very low speeds at a high torque.
Can someone tell me if this will work by using the following components?
Thanks a lot:-)
That combination of motor, driver and power supply should be fine.
Whether the stepper motor will move as fast as 1500 rpm (25 rps) is another matter. Certainly having a 48v power supply will help.
You should be aware that stepper motor torque falls off sharply as speed rises. The better motor manufacturers provide speed vs torque curves. It would be a good idea to study some of them.
Putting your email in a post for public view is considered a rather bad thing to do. Also, Look at when Robin last posted to this thread. He has been in the hospital for several months, now, and is no longer posting to the forum.
