Sorry I am a bit lost. Can you please elaborate?
ok this what I tried. I installed the driver CP210X USB to UART bridge now it shows on COM6. Went back to Arduino selected port 6. I tried sketch Get chip ID on DOIT ESP32 DEVKIT V1 and get this error. Upload error: Failed uploading: uploading error: exit status 2
I tried again selecting board ESP32 DEV Module as I saw in a YT| video. I got that error
Sketch uses 262569 bytes (20%) of program storage space. Maximum is 1310720 bytes.
Global variables use 21388 bytes (6%) of dynamic memory, leaving 306292 bytes for local variables. Maximum is 327680 bytes.
esptool.py v4.5.1
Serial port COM6
A fatal error occurred: Could not open COM6, the port doesn't exist
Failed uploading: uploading error: exit status 2
Got it to work. Thanks to Luccas lab on YT. I just learned when it says Uploading............. I have to press the boot button otherwise it does not work.
Now I got the built in LED to work.
Thats what i told you before.
Well done
as i also told you, these things are not difficult to troubleshoot
so.. in the end
You didn't install the board correctly
You didn't have the driver installed
and didn't press BOOT to upload
Easy.....
